US Intercepts Drones And Missiles Over Red Sea Amidst Escalation, Missile Attacks On US Base In Syria
Previous attack on US forces led to three injuries of US military personnel, including one critical, though the military reported most of the attacks were either intercepted or fell short.
RED SEA/SYRIA - There have been additional missile and drone attacks reported in the Red Sea as U.S. Central Command reports intercepting missiles and drones in the region a day after US forces carried out strikes in response to a drone attack that injured three U.S. service members.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has also claimed responsibility for a missile strike on a U.S. base in Al-Shaddadi in northeastern Syria. Hezbollah-aligned Lebanese media Al Mayadeen also reported a bombing targeting US forces at the Al-Sadaddi base in Northeastern Syria.
