US F-16 Jet Shoots Down Turkish Drone In Syria

Turkey is a NATO-ally. The Pentagon called it a "regrettable incident" and said that the shootdown was done in self-defense to protect U.S. Forces.

PENTAGON - The United States has shot down a Turkish drone armed with air-to-ground weaponry in northeastern Syria after it was considered a threat to U.S. soldiers. Turkey is a NATO-allied country, as is the US.
