US Drone Strike Targets Vehicle In Baghdad, Iraq
The commander who was killed has been identified as Abu Baqir al-Saadi, who was a senior commander in the Kataib Hezbollah.
BAGHDAD - A drone has targeted a vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq, and killed a Kataib Hezbollah Commander of militia suspected of being responsible for carrying out the drone attack on the Tower 22 base where three U.S. service members were killed.
Update: U.S. Central Command has now released a statement on the strike, but but only acknowledged killing one "Kata'ib Hezbollah commander responsible for directly planning and participating in attacks on U.S. forces in the region".
The commander who was killed has been identified as Abu Baqir al-Saadi, who was a senior commander in the Kataib Hezbollah.
Initially, there had been conflicting reports on the number of deaths due to the strike.
