Trump, Putin Hold Long Telephone Call, US Releases Russian Prisoner Involved In Crypto Money Laundering Conspiracy
According to Russian state media, Putin invited Trump to visit Moscow and talked about joint efforts to end the ongoing war with Ukraine.
MOSCOW - U.S. President Donald Trump held a long telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov. The call follows the release of American school teacher Marc Fogel from Russian detainment.
"The telephone conversation between President Putin and US leader Donald Trump has just ended," Peskov stated adding, "It was a very long phone call, it lasted almost an hour and a half.”
According to Russian state media, Putin invited Trump to visit Moscow and talked about joint efforts to end the ongoing war with Ukraine.
Trump posted a message on Truth Social saying that the conversation was “lengthy and productive,” adding “We discussed Ukraine, the Middle East, Energy, Artificial Intelligence, the power of the Dollar, and various other subjects.”
He also said that both Presidents agreed that they “want to stop the millions of deaths taking place in the War with Russia/Ukraine”, announcing an “immediate” start on negotiations to resolve the ongoing conflict.
