UPDATED: SOHR: US Shot Down Drone In Hasakah, Syria
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has claimed that American forces have shot down a drone in the countryside of Hasakah.
SYRIA - The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) has claimed that American forces have shot down a drone in the countryside of Hasakah, Syria after the drone approached an American base located in Tal Baidar, north of Al-Hasakah.
While the initial report by the SOHR said that the intercepted drone was Turkish, an updated report said that it was not Turkish, but that it was fired from Iraq. The Iranian-backed "Islamic Resistance in Iraq" militant group also claimed responsibility for the attack.
