"Serious Incident" As Drone Strikes Hit Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant
Although the IAEA did not say who the drone belonged to, the ZAES released a statement saying that the "kamikaze drone" that attacked the nuclear site belonged to Ukraine, which Kyiv has since denied.
UKRAINE - After drone strikes hit the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in Ukraine, General Rafael Mariano Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) called it a “serious incident” but stopped short of saying who the drone belonged to.
A statement by the Zaporizhzhia Atomic Energy Station (ZAES) currently controlled by Russia however, said that it was a kamikaze drone that hit the nuclear power plant and that it belonged to Ukraine, adding that it damaged a truck that was unloading food at the site at the time the attack occurred.
