Russia Increases Its Soldiers From 1.15 Million To 1.32 Million
Russia: "Increase in the strength of the Armed Forces is due to the increase in threats to our country associated with the conduct of a special military operation and the ongoing expansion of NATO".
MOSCOW - The Kremlin has released a statement that the country has increased its military personnel by 15%, from 1.15 million to 1.32 million, and staffing levels of the Armed Forces to 2,209,130 persons.
"In accordance with Article 4 of Federal Law On Defence No. 61-FZ of May 31, 1996, the President ordered that the staffing levels of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation total 2,209,130 persons, including 1,320,000 military personnel," the statement read.
In addition, it added, "The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to provide the Ministry of Defence with appropriate funding from the federal budget".
