North Korea Carries Out New IRBM Solid-fuel Engine Test
North Korea's state news spoke of its long-term plan to modernize North Korea’s defense capabilities given the “unstable situation and security environment in the region”.
PYONGYANG - North Korean state media has released a statement saying that the country has tested a new high-thrust solid-fuel intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) engine, which it says is of “important strategic significance”.
The statement said that the North Korean missile industry carried out the first ground jet tests of the first and second stage engine on November 11th and November 14th, and spoke of its long-term plan to modernize North Korea’s defense capabilities given the “unstable situation and security environment in the region”.
