NORAD Reports Russian Aircraft In Alaskan ADIZ Three Times In Last Four Days
Although Russian aircraft being spotted within the Alaskan ADIZ is considered normal by NORAD, what is not normal are three statements by NORAD about the activity within the last four days.
NORAD - The North American Aerospace Defense Command has detected Russian military aircraft operating within Alaska’s Air Defense Identification Zone three times in the last four days, according to the government agency.
The released statement says that the Russian aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace. It adds that such activity in the Alaskan ADIZ occurs regularly and “is not seen as a threat”.
