Biden Warns Iran Against Attacking Israel. Iran prepares over 100 cruise missiles for a possible strike.
ISRAEL/LEBANON - As tensions increased between Iran and Israel after Tehran blamed Jerusalem for an attack on its embassy in Damascus, Syria, U.S. President Joe Biden warned Iran against carrying out a retaliatory attack.
After a domestic policy speech, Biden spoke to reporters in New York City and told Iran, "Don't".
“We are devoted to the defense of Israel," he said while answering questions from reporters and added, “We will support Israel. We will help defend Israel, and Iran will not succeed".
A U.S. defense official said, "We are moving additional assets to the region to bolster regional deterrence efforts and increase protection for U.S. forces".
Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) reported that 40 missiles were launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization into Israel, although it's not clear if the missile launches were carried out as part of an Iranian response for the attack on its consulate in Damascus, Syria earlier this month that killed three Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders.
