International Space Race To Moon's South Pole Begins
Luna 25, Russia's first moon mission in almost 50 years, as well as India's Chandrayaan 3, are expected to land on the moon at the end of August.
FLORIDA - NASA administrator Bill Nelson said on Tuesday at the Kennedy Space Center that the Moon's South Pole may become another "South China Sea" with China staking claims and telling other countries to "stay out" if they end up getting there first.
The United States, Russia, India, and China are in a race to get to the moon, namely the South Pole where it is believed ice is trapped. Luna 25, Russia's first moon mission in almost 50 years, as well as India's Chandrayaan 3, are expected to land on the moon at the end of August.
