Houthi Attacks International Shipping With Missiles. US, British Warships Shoot Down.
The attack consisted of 18 one-way attack drones, two anti-ship cruise missiles, and one anti-ship ballistic missile which were intercepted and shot down by U.S. and British aircraft and vessels.
RED SEA - In the 26th attack on commercial shipping lanes in the Red Sea since November 19th, Iranian-backed Houthis launched a “complex attack” using one-way attack drones, anti-ship cruise missiles, and an anti-ship ballistic missile from Houthi-controlled areas within Yemen, according to U.S. and British military officials.
The attack occurred at around 9:15 p.m. local Sanaa time on January 9th, according to a statement by U.S. Central Command, and the consisted of 18 one-way attack drones, two anti-ship cruise missiles, and one anti-ship ballistic missile which were intercepted and shot down by the following U.S. and British aircraft and vessels:
