Hezbollah To Retaliate After Blaming Israel for Exploding Pagers Killing At Least 9, Injuring Nearly 3,000 Across Lebanon
At least 9 people were killed and around 2,750 people were injured in Lebanon as a result of the pager explosions.
BEIRUT - At least 9 people were killed, and nearly 3,000 others were injured, after a large number of pagers being used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization as communication devices suddenly began exploding across Lebanon.
Although pagers haven't widely been in use for quite a few years, Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations still use them as communication devices.
At least 9 people were killed and around 2,750 people were injured in Lebanon as a result of the pager explosions, according to the country’s Health Ministry, though the numbers are still being investigated.
Hezbollah said that "a girl and two brothers,” were killed during the explosions.
The country’s Public Health Minister Dr. Firas Abiad said that over 200 people are in critical condition. Mojtaba Amani, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon was also injured, though the country’s embassy said that his injuries were “superficial”.
