WARSAW - The head of the Polish Defense Ministry says that Poland has begun taking steps to prepare for the threat of war with Russia. Georgia is also accusing Russia of attempting to instigate a war with it by transporting explosives to the country hidden in a shipment of car batteries.
A Polish General spoke to Polish media saying that while Russian President Vladimir Putin can't currently afford a war on a NATO country, if Ukraine loses the war, Russia may then decide to attack it, but added that Poland is not ready for a war.
Brigadier General of the Polish Army Reserve Jan Rajchel spoke on TOK FM and said that Russia cannot afford to attack NATO-allied countries, and added that if Ukraine loses the war on its country by Russia, the threat that Russia may in turn attack Poland should be considered.

Last November Former Russian President and current chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened Poland by saying that the country is now considered a “dangerous enemy” to Russia and that if it continues on its current course it could end up losing its statehood. "We will treat it [Poland] precisely as a historical enemy," Medvedev had said at the time, adding "If there is no hope for reconciliation with the enemy, Russia should have only one and a very tough attitude regarding its fate."
"History has more than once delivered a merciless verdict to the presumptuous Poles: no matter how ambitious the revanchist plans may be, their collapse could lead to the death of Polish statehood in its entirety,” the statement by the former Russian President added.
