France Carries Out First Successful Test Of M51.3 Strategic Ballistic Missile
The ballistic missile test was carried out without a nuclear payload, and the missile was being tracked while in flight after being fired from the Landes region in southwestern France.
FRANCE - According to the French Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu, France has carried out its first successful test of the M51.3 strategic ballistic missile.
A statement by the defense minister on social media said, "First successful test firing of the M51.3 strategic ballistic missile! This development perpetuates the credibility of our nuclear deterrence and demonstrates the excellence of our launcher sector".
