Erdogan Will Back Sweden Joining NATO If Talks Resume For Turkey To Join EU
Erdoğan: "I would like to underline one reality. Turkey has been waiting at the EU's front door for 50 years".
Ankara - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan says that he will back Sweden joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) if the European Union resumes talks to pave the way for Turkey to join the EU.
Erdogan said, "Almost all the NATO members are EU members. I am now addressing these countries, which are making Turkey wait for more than 50 years, and I will address them again in Vilnius," he said.
