Egypt Responds To Netanyahu's Accusations That Egypt Prevented Gazans From Leaving Territory
Netanyahu said that while a two-state solution may have been debated in Israel before, after the massacre on October 7th, "that's gone, nobody's gonna do that."
ISRAEL/EGYPT - Egypt has responded to comments made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Fox News, accusing Egypt of preventing Gazans from leaving the Strip except for the rich, who he said were capable of bribing the gatekeepers.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry released a statement that said, "The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its condemnation of the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister to an American media channel yesterday, which include deliberate and unacceptable allegations and misleading statements."
The statement also said, "It also affirms its adherence to the firm Egyptian and Arab constants based on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital."
