China Water Cannons Philippine Supply Vessels Second Day In A Row
The Philippines is a major non-NATO ally of the United States.
MANILA - The Philippine Coast Guard has reported that Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) and Chinese Maritime Militia (CMM) vessels for the second day in a row "harassed, blocked, and executed dangerous maneuvers" on Philippine supply vessels on a routine resupply a rotation mission (RORE) to the grounded BRP Sierra Madre (LS 57) vessel at the Ayungin Shoal (Second Thomas Shoal).

WEST PHILIPPINE SEA - For the third time since August of this year the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has reported the Chinese Coast Guard spraying a water cannon at Philippine supply boats and Coast Guard vessels, an act that the PCG reported occurred at least 8 times at the time their statement was released.
The water cannon incident disabled the engines of one vessel, requiring it to be towed back to the Philippines, and damaged the mast of another vessel. The Philippines is a major non-NATO ally of the United States.
