Department of Defense: Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced additional security assistance to meet Ukraine's critical security and defense needs. This announcement is the Biden Administration's forty-fifth tranche of equipment to be provided from DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021.

It includes additional air defense and artillery munitions, mine-clearing equipment, medical vehicles, and other equipment to help Ukraine counter Russia's ongoing war of aggression on the battlefield and protect its people.

The following is a timeline of assistance from the United States to Ukraine since the Russian invasion of the country began on February 24th, 2022. Department of Defense: “Since Feb. 24, 2022, the United States and its allies and partners have provided equipment and training to Ukraine, capabilities necessary for Ukraine’s defense of its sovereign territory. This international security assistance has had a significant impact in defending against Russian aggression within Ukraine and preparing the Ukrainian armed forces for the fight ahead.
